Our luck is just... not great with hardware failures
2 failures within 1 month is just... unheard of (stuff like this is out of our control and the best we can do is respond with speed and transparency)
`DAL-3-PG` is going to briefly go down to replace a failed drive (a brand new 990 pro's controller imploded somehow)
The swap itself should take under 5 minutes, and since we use high end Samsung drives rebuilding the raid array should take anywhere from 15-30 minutes (it's hard to guarantee speed). We can move you over to a different node in the meantime. Not to worry, your data is 100% safe. We have historical node filesystem backups along with the mirrored drive so even if the node the node were to spontaneously combust (with our luck, who knows lol) and we'll still be able to read your files back from our backup infrastructure.
TL;DR We've scheduled downtime from 11 [AM, CST] on a Dallas premium node which should take ~ half an hour, that you might be affected by (if your ip ends in .242 you are, you can also check in the settings tab off our panel look for DAL-3-PG under node) this. Your data is also safe and yeah, thanks for cooperating
